Services

The Grand Rapids Police Department is a full service police department. The Police Department conducts investigations on misdemeanors and criminal matters, enforces traffic laws and enforces town ordinances. There are two full time administrative assistants located in the Municipal Building Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m. to noon, to assist the public. These assistants are in contact with the on duty officer and can assist citizens with law enforcement matters. After hours the Wood County Dispatch will assist citizens with any help they may need. The Grand Rapids Police Department is also involved with many other community policing areas such as: neighborhood watch, vacant home checks and business checks.
