CENTRAL WISCONSIN BUILDING INSPECTIONS LLC
Communicates with the Grand Rapids Town Board, Planning Commission, and Grand Rapids residents regarding permit requirements, and inspections and enforcements of permits issued.
Inspection of new construction, additions, or remodeling. Enforce building codes, provide information on building codes and issue building permits. Maintain files, permits, correspondence, and related activities. Assist assessor with property records.
NOTE: Building permits are required to build, enlarge, alter, move, or demolish any structure; including a vinyl covered storage unit. Permits are required for a fence, deck, swimming pool, shed, sign, wood burner, electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, heating, and for additions and/or remodeling.
Monday – Thursday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Friday. 8 a.m. – noon
Communicates with the Grand Rapids Town Board, Plan Commission, Board of Appeals, and Grand Rapids residents regarding zoning requirements, and general administrative program support.
Interpret and enforce the zoning ordinance, taking appropriate action for projects completed without required permits. Assign street address numbers to subdivision plats or new constructions. Serve as Plan Commission secretary. Custodian of public record for building and zoning correspondence, records, and files. Update the official town zoning and road maps. Assist with maintaining property records and computer database of town properties. Assist with the Town’s Comprehensive Planning efforts. Assist the assessor in all duties prescribed in the assessment contract.
